“Walking on Air”
I began having symptoms of fibromyalgia twenty years ago (in my fifties)
when I started having leg and foot cramps. They were so bad that sometimes
when I would be driving, I would have to pull off the road. Since being on
the guaifenesin, my cramps are completely gone.
I have never had enough steam to get through the day. I would wake up in
the morning fatigued, after sleeping all night. There were days I couldn’t get
up and would just read. I got so tired of driving myself.
Since being on guaifenesin, I try to walk every day. There are some days
when I feel like I’m walking on air, my legs feel so good. It’s not
everyday, but I feel like eventually that’s going to improve, too.
I had back pain, joint pain, weak, tired legs, stiffness all over and
tingling and numbness in my feet and ankles. My back was so tired all the
time, I couldn’t fix the evening meal without lying on the floor a couple of
times. I would have to lie down for a minute or two because the pain in the
thoracic area was so bad. Since being on the guai, I don’t have that hardly
at all.
I spent a small fortune on over-the-counter-things to help me feel better,
but nothing seemed to help. I would really have to push myself to get things
done.
I was so glad when I found out there is hope out there. A friend suggested
that I read What the Doctor May Not Tell you About Fibromyalgia. I
also went to Dr. Penniston. It has changed my life. Some of my symptoms are
completely gone and others are easier to live with.
I have had a lot of stomach trouble. That was so stressful for me. I was
diagnosed with spastic colon. (I’m not so sure I actually had that.) Dr.
Penniston put me on Hydrozyme and now I can digest food without any problem.
It’s just like it was a miracle. I didn’t have any more digestive problems
after I started on that.
I had a lot of pain in my left hip. It hurt so bad and, from talking with my
doctor, I thought I would have to have a hip replacement. He took X-rays but
they showed nothing. Since being on guaifenesin and getting the muscles in
my hip and pelvis working properly with applied kinesiology by Dr.
Penniston, I don’t have any pain in that hip anymore.
I had thought that I was sleeping well before, but it wasn’t the kind of
sleep where you get up and feel rested. Now, I sleep better.
Usually my body and mind just shut down around 6 o’clock. I usually feel all
done in by then, but one day I looked at my copper pans and thought, “gee whiz, I think I’ll polish those up.” Before, there was
no way I would have taken the time to do something like that. Now, I
thought, “Gee, this feels good.”
I used to have burning on urination, but it’s gone since guaifenesin.
Tingling in my feet and ankles comes and goes. I see some improvement but it
still bothers me. I am still stiff from being in the car. Down days don't
worry me now because I know it won't last. I’m so glad I have so many good
days and that I can really accomplish a lot.
I've realized that I’m hypoglycemic and now I’m working on my diet, too.
I feel healthier than I have in a long time. At my age I thought that I was
just getting up in years. I thought I didn’t have anything to look forward
to; it was just downhill from here. Dr. Penniston said there was no reason
that my age should make me feel like I was going downhill and I had every
right to feel good at my age. Thank you, Dr Penniston.
I would advocate that people who have the symptoms of fibromyalgia try the
guaifenesin protocol, by all means. What have to you got to lose? You have
everything to gain. The changes that come about, it’s so much easier to live
with everything else.
I sure am so grateful that somebody suggested to me to go and get that book.
It just really made me realize that there is help down the road.
Sincerely,
LaVone Cox
